Chief Election Commissioner offers worship at Tirumala

Tirupati, July 2 (UNI) Chief Election Commisioner (CEC) N Gopalaswamy today offered worship at the Lord Venkateswara temple in Tirumala, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) sources said here.

Mr Gopala Swamy, who was accompanied by his wife on a three-day visit to Tirupati and Tirumala, also had darshan at the Goddess Padmavathi temple at Tiruchanoor, near here, last night.

The temple priests also honoured him as per traditions.

After an overnight stay at Tirumala, he would also participate in the morning rituals at the temple tomorrow, sources added.
