Burglary at model's house, goods worth Rs 1.5 lakh stolen
Mumbai, July 2 (UNI) In a burglary at the Versova residence of model and Bollywood actress Liza Mallik, goods worth Rs 1.5 lakh were stolen.
Police today said that Mallik, who resided on the sixth floor of Ganga Bhavan society in the western suburbs of the metropolis, was in Delhi when the robbery took place.
The incident came to light when her fiance Sanjay, went there this morning and discovered that the house was ransacked.
A laptop and ornaments worth approximately Rs 1.5 lakh were missing from the cupboard. He then informed the police about the burglary.
The main suspect in the burglary is the maid Meena and one of her accomplices in view of the fact that she has a duplicate key to the flat, police said, adding that she has been on leave since the last one week.
After being crowned Miss Delhi in 2002, Mallik had come to Mumbai about two years ago to make her career in Bollywood. She has already starred in two films 'Abhimaan' and 'Saath-Saath'.
