UP: 5 of family stabbed to death

Lucknow, July 2: A woman and her four minor children were stabbed to death by unidentified armed assailants in the Ghoorpur area of Allahabad district in Uttar Pradesh.

Police today said the incident occurred late last night in Iratganj. The assailants stormed into the house of one Iftkhar and slit the throats of his wife and four children, while he was out for some work.

The reason for the murder, however, is not certained.

Meanwhile, Iftkhar has been taken into custody and interrogation is on.
