Mettur Dam continues to receive good inflow

Tiruchirapalli, July 1 (UNI) The Stanley Reservoir at Mettur across river Cauvery is getting good inflow, raising the hopes of the ryots of Cauvery Delta districts to raise Kuruvai cultivation.

PWD sources said the water level in the Dam stood at 72,920 ft this morning, as against its full capacity of 120 ft. The inflow into the reservoir was 3861 cusecs and the discharge was maintained at 2000 cusecs.
