Hooda to name Chair after saint Kabir in MDU
Rohtak, June 30 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today announced to institute a Chair named after saint Kabir at the Maharishi Dayanand University here.
The Chief Minister, who was addressing a gathering at a state level function organised here to mark 609th birthday of Saint Kabir, also announced to rename old Gohana bus stand as Saint Kabir Chowk to commemorate his memory.
While paying his rich tributes to Saint Kabir, Mr. Hooda said that he gave a new direction to the society by striving hard to eradicate social evils like superstitions, casteism and emerged as a social crusador.
While referring to the demands put up by Dhanak community, he directed the Deputy Commissioner, Mr. R.S. Doon to make arrangement for providing land measuring 5.5 acres to this community within two months so as to enable them set up Swami Atma Ram Ashram.
Mr. Hooda assured that while appointing Chairmen of Boards and Corporations, due representation would be given to the members of the Dhanak community.
He also announced to given Rs. 11 lakh for construction of Kabir bhawan at Sanjay Nagar in Rohtak.
