Superhouse's net profit up by 36 per cent

Chennai, June 29: Superhouse Limited, a leading leather export house, has reported total consolidated revenues of Rs 333.73 crore for fiscal 2007, an increase of 42 per cent compared to Rs 235.53 crore in the previous year.

The consolidated net profit was Rs 7.71 crore, up by 36 per cent from Rs 4.92 crore last year, a company release here today said.

However, the operating margin dipped marginally to 6.83 per cent from 7.13 per cent on account of appreciation of Rupee towards the end of the fiscal.

The performance of the company in the last quarter of FY07 was also commendable, with net revenues surging 49 per cent to Rs 94.68 crore, as against Rs 63.72 crore in the corresponding period last year, the release said.

The earning per share (EPS) for the year was Rs 8.67 as against Rs 6.21 at the end of fiscal 2006.

The Board of Directors had recommended a dividend of five per cent, in addition to the ten per cent interim dividend declared during the year, the release said.
