Lifestyle to open 36 stores in 3 yrs; to pump in Rs 450cr

New Delhi, Jun 29 (UNI) Part of Dubai-based 600-million-dollar retail conglomerate Landmark Group, Lifestyle International Ltd will open 36 stores in the country over next three years with an investment of Rs 450 crore.

''We will add 36 new stores to our retail chain by 2010 in India,'' company's Executive Director Kabir Lumba today told UNI.

LifeStyle has several stores across in the country, including Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Gurgaon and Mumbai.

Based on an in-depth understanding of consumer needs and preferences in India, the Lifestyle Store is built around five concepts, including Fashion Garments for Men and Women, Health and Beauty products, Households and Furnishings Department, Mr Lumba added.

Besides stocking well established Indian and international brands, the Lifestyle stores also stock its own in-house labels within each concept.

The company was incorporated in India in 1988 by Dubai-based Landmark Group which has 30 years experience in retailing.

Commencing its operations in India in 1998, Lifestyle pursues its group company's vision to become a truly global player in the retail segment. The company opened its first Lifestyle store in Chennai in 1999, followed by Hyderabad (2000), Bangalore (2001) and Gurgaon (2002) and Mulund in Mumbai (2003).
