Heavy rains to lash Surat among south Guj areas

Surat, June 29: Heavy rainfall may occur in the whole of the south Gujarat, including the city, in the next 24 hours, flood control room sources said.

In the last 24 hours, the area recorded the rainfall as such Olpad (21 mm), the maximum. It was followed by Nizar (20 mm), Mandvi (17 mm), Uchchal (16 mm) and Palsana (12 mm), while Mangrod received the minimum (3 mm), the lowest.

The average rain received by the south Gujarat areas is 132 mm and the Ukai dam level is being recorded as 291.83.
