Ambaji to lay new roads to ease pilgrim hardship
Palanpur, June 28 (UNI) Ambaji temple town is all set to complete its ambitious Rs 3.11 crore project 'Darshan path' (road to darshan) by September this year.
Besides providing maximum freedom of movement to the devotees it will enhance the beauty of the place of pilgrimage.
''The number of visitors to the temple is at an all time high now and will rise further with the onset of the monsoon by the next month. In view of this, the trust was all set to provide maximum facilities to reduce hardship of the people,'' said Chairman of the Trust Hareet Shukla, who is also collector of Banasksantha District.
There would be a 600 metre long path, 30 metre wide and a 2.50 metre divider. The vast dividers will have five colourful water fountains to enhance the beauty of the place.
The visitors will find the neatly laid roads by next September during auspicious occasion of Bhadrivi Poonam, which draws about 2 million people from across the state.
