250-year-old stolen idols of Krishna and Radha recovered

Bolpur, Jun 29 (UNI) Police recovered 250-year-old precious idols of Lord Krishna and Radha and some valuables worth Rs five lakh, Superintendent of Police S S Panda here today said.

The idols were stolen from Mahaprabhu temple at Supur village a few months back and the culprits had been absconding since then.

Mr Panda said following a combing operation by police, the thieves fled the village leaving the idols there.
