Ten more nominations filed for Presidential elections today

New Delhi, June 28 (UNI) Ten nomination papers were filed for the July 19 Presidential elections here today.

According to sources, 41 nomination papers have been filed so far.

Prabhat Bhai Monji Bhai Vaghani from Bhavnagar, Ahmedabad.

submitted a certified copy of the Electoral roll displaying his name along with his nomination paper. He also deposited the statutory amount of Rs 15,000 for contesting the Presidential poll.

However, his nomination papers did not carry the signatures of his proposers or seconders.

Dinanath Singh of Navi Mumbai and Meet Singh from Barnala district of Punjab also filed their nomination papers. Though their nomination papers were supported by certified copy of electoral rolls, they lacked the signature of a seconder or proposer. Both of them also did not deposit the mandatory security.

Mr Ganpath Ram from Mahasamund district of Chattisgarh deposited four sets of nomination papers along with a certified copy of Electoral roll displaying his name.

His nomination also was devoid of any proposer or seconder. He also did not deposit the security.

The last two sets of nomination papers of the day were filed by Nagar Mal Bajoria Dhartipakar from Bhagalpur, Bihar. Mr Dhartipakar's nomination papers were accompanied by a certified copy of the 2004's Electoral rolls along with the statutory security deposit of Rs 15,000.

However, both the set of nomination papers of Mr Dhartipakar were rejected by the office of the RO/ARO as the electoral rolls were that of 2004, the sources added.
