22 security personnel, boy injured in militant attack in Kashmir
Baramulla, June 28 (UNI) At least twenty-two security personnel were injured in a militant attack on their vehicle in north Kashmir, official sources said.
Militants ambushed a security force convoy at Mawar, Handwara, in the frontier district of Kupwara this afternoon, the sources said.
At least 22 security personnel, travelling from Baramulla to Handwara in a private bus, were injured in the militant attack.
The bus had bullet marks on all sides, the sources said, adding one security force vehicle was also damaged.
A boy Manzoor Ahmad was also injured in the attack, they said adding that the militants managed to escape.
The entire area has been cordoned off and a massive hunt has been launched to eliminate the militants responsible for the attack.
An official spokesman confirmed the attack but said details are awaited.
