Union Bank bags "The Best IT User Award 2006"
Kolkata, Jun 27 (UNI) Union Bank of India has received "The Best IT User Award 2006" from NASSCOM under the Banking Financial Services and Insurance category.
Minister of Railways Lalu Prasad Yadav presented the award to the bank management.
NASSCOM is India's premier trade body of the IT software and services industry in India which institute awards every year to felicitate the best IT users in the country.
This award has been conferred on the Bank for its software package for Clearing House Operations at Pune. The entire package was developed in-house. The package offers a Web based solution for the Clearing House Operations and provides exhaustive Clearing Data and Reports in electronic format to the participating Banks.
The Bank is one of the pioneers among Public Sector Banks to implement Core Banking Solution and has over 1000 branches under CBS.
