Pak HM militant Ghaznavi killed

Jammu, June 27 (UNI) Pakistani national and divisional commander of Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militant outfit was gunned down by security forces in forest area of Rajouri in Jammu and Kashmir.

Acting on tip off, the troops of 60 Rashtriya Rifles and police threw a joint cordon around suspected hideout of the hard core militant in Ansi Dhok area this afternoon.

The militant, a Pakistani national, was identified as Mohammad Ghaznavi, area commander of the outfit. He was killed after a brief shootout, said a security official adding that one AK 74 rifle, three AK 74 magazines, a Radio set and a diary is covered from slain militant.

The militant was active since long in Poonch and Rajouri district and has been involved in many militancy related crimes, sources said.
