No rainfall in Manipur, agri land submerged

Imphal, June 27: Even though there has been no rainfall for the past 48 hours, Manipur continues to be submerged in water.

There was no rainfall today and the minimum temperature was about 22.4 degree Celsius while the maximum was about 32.3 degree Celsius.

The humidity was about 78 per cent.

The Iril, Nambul, Imphal, Barak rivers continued to be flowing at a high level as there was considerable rainfall off late.

Agricultural lands were submerged at Thoubal, Imphal, Bishenpur, Senapati districts.

Irrigation and flood officials said the water levels of the rivers had fallen and it will subside if there is no further rainfall specially at the catchment areas.
