Kannur, Jun 27 (UNI) The pro-Congress Kerala Students Union (KSU) will march to the State Secretariat to raise their 17-point charter of demands, including the self-financing professional college issue on July three, its President Hibi Eden said today.

Talking to mediapersons here, he alleged that the State Education Minister M A Baby was taking the self-financing professional college issue lightly.

Alleging that the attitude of the Government had helped the self-financing professional college managements to treat education as ''business'', he said the state had not witnessed such a huge trade in education in its history.

Mr Eden further alleged that the Education Minister had become an agent of other states' education lobbies. Mr Baby had also given a green signal to the professional college management for collecting ''bribe'' in the name of ''caution deposit,'' he added.

The silence of the pro-CPI(M) Students Federation of India (SFI) which had earlier protested against the self-financing college issue, showed its ''double-standard'' in this regard, he said adding that there was some mystery behind its silence.

Mr Baby was not inclined to convene even an all-party meeting or discussions with students organisations, he alleged.
