Foreign currency worth Rs 6 lakh seized at NSCBI airport

Kolkata, Jun 27 (UNI) The customs authorities at NSCBI airport seized foreign currencies worth Rs six lakh from a person onboard a Thai air flight, DG-314, here today.

The officials acting on a tip-off, recovered Euro 11500 and Thai Bhat 2000 from the person.

The person, a resident of Asansol-Burdwan district, failed to produce any documents in support of his possessing the foreign currencies.

He had been arrested and investigation was on.
