Cong rejection of Kalam an insult to popular sentiment:Marandi

Dumka, Jun 27 (UNI) Jharkhand Vikash Morcha President Babulal Marandi today said, the Congress which talks of democracy has insulted the people's sentiment by pitching in their candidate for the Presidential poll.

The Congress for its self-gain did not accept Mr A P J Abdul Kalam, Mr Marandi, the former Jharkhand Chief Minister told reporters here.

The Third Front tried to rope in Mr Kalam after gauging his acceptability among farmers, youth and intellectuals across the country, he said.

The Front called on Mr Kalam and convinced him to be in the race, Mr Marandi said, adding that the Congress resorted to such politics that only rejected and insulted the popular sentiments.
