A Bangladeshi family sent to West Bengal for deportation to B'desh

Panipat, June 27 (UNI) A family of five Bangladeshi nationals, who were taken into custody by police from a textile unit here late last night for staying illegally, were sent to West Bengal for their deportation to Bangladesh today.

A police team took them to West Bengal for being handed over to BSF authorities for their deportation at Indo-Bangladesh border.

According to the police, initially, they claimed to be residents of West Bengal but during interrogation they confessed to be the residents of Fatehpur Polasbari village under Balia Dangi police station in Dinajpur district of Bangladesh.

With this, as many as 52 Bangladeshi nationals who had been residing here illegally for many years had been deported during last three years so far.

The Panipat police have constituted a special six-member team, who are being assisted by 18 police personnel of the security wing, to detect the Bangladeshis staying in the district.
