36 injured in road accidents in Nagaland
Kohima, June 27 (UNI) Thirty-six people were injured in two separate road accident in the past 24 hours in Nagaland.
Nine people were wounded when a vehicle in which they were travelling fell in a gorge near Kiphire town on Monday evening.
In another accident, 27 people were injured, some of them critically, when a truck, in which they were travelling, skidded off the road and fell into a 50-metre-deep gorge.
The accident occurred when the driver lost control of the vehicle while trying to save a pedestrian. The passensers were returning after making preparations for the forthcoming Sumi festival at Tuluni.
The injured were admitted to different hospitals of Dimapur town.
