Veteran PWP leader Patil honoured with Shahu award

Kolhapur, Jun 26 (UNI) Veteran PWP leader and educationalist Dr N D Patil was today honoured with this year's prestigious 'Rajarshi Shahu award' at a function here.

Mr Patil received the award which carries Rs 51,000 cash, a citation and memento from noted scholar in education Dr Ravsaheb Kasabe. Shivaji University Vice-Chancellor Dr Manikrao Salunkhe was in the chair.

The award instituted by Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Memorial Trust, Kolhapur in the memory of great social reformer and ruler of Kolhapur State Rajarshi Chhatrapti Shahu Maharaj, is given every year to a person in recognition of his service and outstanding contribution in his respective field.
