Thane girl tops SSC in Mumbai division
Mumbai, June 26: Once again a female student, Ms Deshpande Renuka Milind of Saraswati secondary school from Naupada, Thane has topped the Mumbai division list of successful candidates in this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations, by securing an aggregate of 95.07 per cent.
Four candidates, each securing an aggregate of 94.92 per cent lay claim to the second position. They included Kavle Pravin Narendra from the Chikitsak Samuh Shirolkar high school in Girgaon, Surve Madhuri Subhash from Kumud Vidyamandir in Deonar, Busi Ashish Bahurao from IES Manik Vidyamandir at Bandra and Kudtarkar Samiksha Mukund from Ekveera Vidyalay in Kandivali.
The third rank was jointly claimed by three candidates whose individual aggregate was 94.76 per cent. They were Deshmukh Adit Atul who belongs to the same school as that of the Mumbai topper, Gaikar Ashiwini Dagdu from Ahilya Vidyamandir in Kalachowki and Deshpande Adva Abhay from IES Manik Vidyamandir.
Among the night school candidates, Shah Asma Begum Sameer from the Social Group Urdu night school at Antop Hill, emerged as the topper with an aggregate of 79.53 per cent.
Anees Nafees Mohammad Nafees from Madanpura night school at Byculla stood second with an aggregate of 78.76 per cent, while Sodha Bharati Mukesh from R K Hindi night school at Kalyan was third with 76.92 per cent.
Among the physically challenged category, the top slot was claimed by Shah Pooja Ketan from Dr S Radhakrishnan Vidayalaya in Borivali with an aggregate score of 91.69 pre cent.
Among the backward class candidates, Bhoye Manoj Damodar stood first with an aggregate of 93.84 per cent. Two candidates, Katkar Falguni Ashok and Bhokare Pratika Pradeep were second with 93.53 per cent each and three students, Gowavi Vihang Mahesh, Katwate Swati Suresh and Bhoir Nihali Bharchandra were third with 92.92 per cent.
Among the females category, besides the Mumbai division topper Deshpande Renuka Milind, Surve Madhuri Subash and Kudtarkar Samiksha Mukund stood second. It may be noted here that the duo have occupied the second slot in the general list too. Besides, the third position goes to Gaikar Ashwini Dagdu, who figures third in the general list too.
