Slain BJP MLA's nephew, another person arrested

Ghazipur, June 26 (UNI) Police has arrested two persons in connection with the blast at the house of slain BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai this morning in Ghazipur.

Varanasi Zone IG Dr Kashmir Singh told newspersons here Rai's nephew Manoj Rai and Babudhan of Bihar had been arrested.

According to Mr Singh, a low grade sulphur-based explosive was used in the blast, although a detailed report was still awaited.

The IG said at the time of blast, Manoj, a gunner Dharmendra and domestic help Chhotu were present in one room, while another gunner Nandkumar and Babudhan were present in another room, which was hit by the explosion.

Moments before the explosion, that killed gunner Nandkumar, Babudhan had left the room for some errand.
