Shimla adjudged best travel destination in the country

Shimla, June 26 (UNI) Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh has been adjuged the ''best travel destinations'' in the country for the year 2006-2007 in its annual survey conducted by CNBC AWAAZ yesterday, an official spokesman said today.

It was also adjudged the ''best travel destination in health and rejuvenation'' and was also awarded ''best travel destination in adventurous sports'' in the CNBC annual survey, which was carried out by NIELSEN in collaboration with CNBC TV 18 network, he said in a release here.

The spokesman said Union Tourism Minister Ambika Soni presented the awards to HP Tourism Minister G S Bali at a function held at New Delhi last evening.

HP Tourism Development Corporation Managing Director Subhash Ahluwalia was also present on the occasion.
