Pb Vidhan Sabha members can cast votes in Delhi or Chandigarh

Chandigarh, June 26 (UNI) Members of the Punjab Legislative Assembly will cast their votes for the Presidential election on July 19 in the Committee Room of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha Secretariat here.

Votes will be cast from 1000 hours to 1700 hours on the polling day, a press release quoting the rules of the Election Commission of India (ECI) and issued by state Vidhan Sabha secretary Madan Mohan here today stated.

However, any elected member of the Punjab Legislative Assembly specially permitted by the ECI, can cast his/her vote at Room No 62 of Parliament House, New Delhi. Prescribed forms can be had from the Vidhan Sabha secretary, if any elected member of the state Legislative Assembly is interested to cast his/her vote at New Delhi.

The release categorically stated that the option of place (for casting vote) once made by the electors will be final and no change of mind will be allowed by the ECI.
