Naxals blow up railway tracks in Jharkhand
Ranchi, June 26: Naxalites late tonight blew up the railway tracks between Richugota and Cheter stations, under the Dhanbad region of East-central railway, in Jharkhand's Latehar district.
''The railway tracks are damaged and the movement of the trains have been disrupted due to the blast,'' Dhanbad's Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Sameer Kumar told UNI here.
It has been reported that two-day economic blockade has been called by the banned CPI (Maoist), which is effective from midnight.
Alert was sounded and security has been tightened in Jharkhand in view of this.
