Bhopal, June 26 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh government today rejected a senior cabinet minister's demand to ban ''Crezendo'' condom manufactured by public sector company Hindustan Latex Limited saying no complaint had been received so far about its ill-effects.

While ruling out a ban on the sale of the luxury condom along with a vibrating ring, Health Minister Ajay Vishnoi said the government did not agree with Energy Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya's ''personal opinion'' about the condom.

''No commodity could be banned unless any complaint was received about adverse affects on the health of anybody'', he told reporters here.

Mr Vijayvargiya dubbed it as a ''sex toy'' and had gone to the extent of directly sending a letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh seeking withdrawal of the luxury condom, which as a pack of three condoms along with a vibrating ring.

Earlier, Hindustan Latex Limited Managing Director M Ayyappan denied the condom was a sex toy and said there was no plan to withdraw it.
