Momentive to invest US dollar 20 million in green field

Chennai, Jun 26 (UNI) Momentive Performance Materials Inc, a premier speciality materials company, today announced that it had finalised its plans for a green field investment of USD 20 million, to set up a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Sriperumbudur near here.

Talking to mediapersons, Company General Manager, Global Operations said "the new manufacturing facility was slated to be operational in 2008.

The plant design and engineering integrate, the most efficient process and product technology capabilities that exist among the various Momentive plants around the world, he added.

He said the new plant reflects Momentive's longstanding commitment to customers in India and South Asia", and added it would augment its existing capabilities to serve its customers' needs better.

"We would continue to invest in ndia, as we have always believed that combining global technology with local fulfilment is the best way we can support our customers' success", he said adding momentive had six global technology and application development centres in the world including one in Bangalore.

Momentive performance Materials Inc is a premier specialty materials company, providing high-technology materials solutions to the silicon, quarts and ceramics markets.
