MCD employee bludgeoned to death by step-son
New Delhi, Jun 26 (UNI) A 45-year-old MCD employee was bludgeoned to death by his unemployed 20-year-old step-son in Kalyanpuri area of East Delhi allegedly over a property dispute.
Puran Chand, a sanitary employee of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, was hammered to death by Deepak, son of his wife Rekha from her first marriage yesterday afternoon at their Trilokpuri under Kalyanpuri police station residence, said the police.
Deepak, who dumped the body in one of the rooms, later fled the spot after telling others in the family not to open the room for the next ten hours as he has sprayed some insecticide.
Late in the evening after the family entered the room, while preparing to go to sleep, they found Puran Chand lying dead and informed the police.
Sources said the Deepak, who did nothing to make a living, did not have cordial relations with his step-father reportedly over some property matter.
The complaint was made by Puran Chand's teenaged son Shiv Kumar.
Rekha had two children -- Deepak and Seema -- from her previous marriage.
