Lucknow to get Institute of Design in 11th Plan
Lucknow, June 26 (UNI) During the current 11th Five Year Plan, Uttar Pradesh Institute of Design (UPID) is proposed to be established at Lucknow involving an expenditure of Rs 15.5 crore.
Giving this information here, minister of state for small scale industries (independent charge) Badshah Singh said the Institute will be established in a campus spread over 10 acres.
A provision of Rs 1 crore has been made for the first year 2007-2008. The institute will conduct certificate/diploma courses of six to 12 months duration.
For providing consultancy services, National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmedabad will also be involved.
