HC stays demolition of Abad property in Munnar till tomorrow

Kochi, Jun 26 (UNI) The kerala high court today directed the authorities not to demolish the property of Abad Motels and Resorts at Munnar till tomorrow.

Justice S Sirijagan gave this direction while considering a writ petition filed by Abad Motels and Resorts Pvt. Ltd. represented by its Managing Director Riaz Muhammed.

The petitioner has challenged the notice dated June 25, 2006, issued by the tahsildar to evict the land within 24 hours. The petitioners contended that they are entitled to file an appeal or writ petition against the order of the land revenue commissioner who cancelled their patta.
