Haryana raises award money for Panchayats

Chandigarh, June 26 (UNI) The Haryana government has increased cash component of State Level Awards to be given to Panchayats for doing commendable work to promote renewable energy programmes in their villages.

Stating this here today, Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan said the first prize award money had been increased from Rs two lakh to three lakh.

The second prize of would be Rs two lakh as against Rs one lakh earlier. Similarly, the third prize had also been increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1 lakh.

He said the amount of District Level Awards had also been increased. The amount of first District Level Prize had been enhanced from Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000 and the second prize would be of Rs 25,000 instead of Rs 10,000.

The prize money of first prize of Block Level had also been increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 25,000, he added.
