Haryana: Cabinet expansion after Presidential polls
Chandigarh, June 26 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said the state cabinet would be expanded after the completion of the Presidential polls.
Talking to media persons here, Mr Hooda however denied news reports quoting him as saying that senior Congress leader Mange Ram Gupta would soon be inducted in the cabinet.
He said the decisions about such matters were taken by AICC President Sonia Gandhi.
Mr Hooda said that independent MLA Tejinder Pal Maan, accompanied by some other MLAs, had met him earlier in the day and assured that they would support the UPA Presidential candidate Pratibha Patil. He said the UPA candidate was getting massive support.
Earlier, Mr Hooda addressed a gathering of office bearers of various district units of the Haryana Pradesh Youth Congress at his residence here.
To a question, he said the state level Youth Congress rally would be held at Bhiwani on August 20, coinciding with the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
