Gujarat HC puts off decision on Santokben until June 29
Ahmedabad, June 26 (UNI) The Gujarat High Court today deferred a decision on 'Godmother' Santokben Jadeja's bail plea until June 29.
Justice M D Shah deferred his orders till June 29, after both defence and prosecution completed their arguments.
Earlier, the Junagadh trial court had kept her bail plea pending, subject to the completion of narco analysis test. She, however, wanted the high court to order the trial court to resolve the issue by either accepting or rejecting it, instead of keeping her bail plea pending for narco test completion.
Santokben was arrested for allegedly sheltering two suspects, believed to be friends of her son Kandhal Jadeja, in the rape and murder of two Koli girls in Junagadh.
The two girls, on May 13 had gone to Datar shrine in Junagadh, where one was raped and the other was murdered by the suspects, who are absconding.
