Ferrous metal rise on better industrial demand
Mumbai, Jun 26 (UNI) Ferrous metals rose on better industrial demand along with the London Metal Exchange, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said today.
In the ferrous section, copper heavy eased by Rs 100 per quintal on poor demand while copper utensils, brass utensils and aluminium utensils hiked by Rs 100, Rs 200 and Rs 50 per quintal on lesser stock supply.
In the non-ferrous category, remained steady on moderate demand.
Tin slab came down by Rs five per kg on thin buying support while nickel cathode edged up by Rs 25 per kg on increase of fresh demand.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 34,500, Copper utensils - Rs 30,700, Brass utensils - Rs 25,500, Brass cuttings - Rs 26,900 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 11,350.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 38,000, Aluminium ingots - Rs 13,500, Zinc slabs - Rs 18,900, Lead ingots - Rs 10,200, Tin slab - Rs 700 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,790 (per kg).
