Family members of loanee attacked by recovery agents

Hyderabad, June 26 (UNI) Recovery agents of Citi Financiers, agency of the Citi Bank, today allegedly attacked the family members of a loanee, demanding the repayment of the loan taken from the bank.

Police said three recovery agents came to the house of Narasa Reddy, who had taken loan and was not paying since three months, and enquired about him.

As the family members did not divulge the where abouts of the loanee, the agents attacked his father and brother, who sustained injuries.

Based on a complaint, police have registered a case and were searching to for the three agents.

Mr Reddy's injured brother, Ramakrishna Reddy told newspersons that the agents had abused his family members and attacked them for not paying the remaining loan amount.

Y Yadaiah, a 42-year-old state government employee, died here after allegedly being confined by agents of Elite Financial Services for repaying a loan of Rs 15,000 he had taken from ICICI bank, four days ago in the city.
