Court takes cognisance against Union Minister

Darbhanga, Jun 26 (UNI) A local court today took cognisance of a case against Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development A A Fatmi related to the violation of electoral model code of conduct.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Vijay Kumar Srivastava took cognisance of the case against the minister and the RJD leader under IPC Sections 188/34 and 126.

Earlier, Sanjay M Kaul, the electoral observer of Hayaghat assembly segment, had lodged an FIR at Laheriyasarai police station.

According to it, the MP had violated the electoral model code of conduct in the constituency on November 22, 2005.

UNI
