BJP hails 'dignified' completion of terms by Kalam and Shekhawat

New Delhi, Jun 26 (UNI) The National Executive of the BJP today hailed President A P J Abdul Kalam and Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat for their 'successful and dignified' completion of their five year terms and said they had set a healthy Precedent.

A resolution to this effect was passed at the two day National Executive which concluded this evening. Both the leaders had acquitted themselves honourably, it said.

The party expressed its happiness over the statement of Mr Shekhawat expressing his wish to bow out of the race if Dr Kalam were to be in the presidential race and said through this action he had set a high tradition not just for himself but to his office, BJP Spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy said.
