Bano arrives to talk to UPA allies on Prez Poll
Ranchi, June 26: With heat and dust flying thick over the President poll, Congress Working Committee (CWC) member and in-charge of Jharkhand Noor Bano today arived here to have a dialogue with the UPA allies in the state.
Ms Bano's visit assumed significance as the present government in the state was of UPA headed by Mr Madhu Koda, an Independent MLA.
Out of 14 parliamentary seats, the Congress has six, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (4), RJD (2), and one from Jharkhand Vikash Manch and CPI.
The CWC member said she would talk to all MPs and MLAs in the UPA fold in Jharkhand.
Among six Rajya Sabha seats in the state the NDA enjoys the strength of four while the UPA has 2 in its kitty.
In the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly, the Koda-led UPA enjoys a slender majority.
Talking to reporters here on her arival, Ms Bano expressed concern over the rise in naxal movement adding only through dialogue it could be solved.
