Badal orders re-installation of power towers in border areas
Chandigarh, June 26 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today ordered the Punjab State Electricity Board(PSEB) to make arrangements for immediate re-installation of the two 220 KW power towers in Patti Sub-division, which had fallen due to thunderstorm yesterday, disrupting power supply to a major portion of the border areas.
Two 220 KW towers between Virpal and Patti fell yesterday disrupting power supply to Bhikiwind, Tarn Taran Urban, Tarn Taran Semi-urban and Patti Electricity Sub-divisions.
PSEB Chairman Y S Ratra informed the Chief Minister that a team of engineers and workers had been sent to the site and the towers were likely to be re-installed by the midnight of June 29-30.
