Asian ADRs hit 2-week lows, China plays down
HONG KONG, June 26 (Reuters) Asian stocks listed on Wall Street <.bkas> slipped 0.3 percent to a two-week closing low, falling for a second straight session in line with U.S. peers as worries about the U.S. subprime mortgage market grew.
Bear Stearns , which last week bailed out a hedge fund it manages that is heavily invested in risky mortgage securities, may need to stump up more cash to rescue a second fund, a Merrill Lynch analyst said, raising concerns about fallout from the subprime market.
China plays were further pressured by a 3.7 percent drop in the mainland Chinese market on Monday as investors fretted about more government policies to cool the economy and market.
Yanzhou Coal dropped 5.4 percent.
MSCI's measure of Asia Pacific stocks excluding Japan <.msciapj> slid 0.6 percent on Monday, pulling back from a record high set Friday.
