Agartala, Jun 25 (UNI) Tripura Education department will hold a meeting with authorities of the schools, where no student could pass the matriculate and higher secondary examination this year.

Talking to newspersons here today, Education Minister Keshab Majumder said they would organise a review meeting at district level with the school teachers and authorities this month.

''We want to know the logistic difficulties of the schools from the teachers only for which the student could not pass the exams,'' Mr Majumder said adding that the government had prioritised education in recent years, hence, the teachers have to be accountable for bad result.

No students of about 100 schools could pass the board examinations this year despite the state government's effort to fulfill all basic needs of the school, the minister said.

He, however, said about 5000 teachers, including 1200 subject teachers, would be appointed within next couple of months while posting would be given after analysing the need.
