Speaker assured to redress grievances

Jammu, June 24 (UNI) Asserting that providing of safe and regular drinking water supply even in far off remote areas forms the priority of the coalition government, Legislative Assembly speaker Tara Chand assured the grievances of employees would be redressed to ensure that the people do not face any inconveniences.

The Speaker was addressing the meeting of PHE Employees Association Akhnoor at Chak Malal, Khour here today.

He speaker said that the government is committed to provide adequate facilities to the employees of the state. The grievances like releasing of salary and promotion benefit would be discussed with the higher authorities, he added.

''A tool kit will be provided to the employees and minimum wages of daily wager would also be fixed,'' the Speaker said.

Lauding the efforts of the PHE in providing regular water supply to the consumers, Mr Tara Chand said they have done commendable job this year as there are negligible complaints regarding the irregular water supply.

On the development scenario, the speaker said tremendous works have been executed in the state in every sector.

He said people have witnessed development, upgradation in education, tourism, R&B, health and other sectors.

To minimise unemployment problems, the speaker apprised that 26 new schemes have been formulated to provide employment opportunities in favour of unemployed youth.
