Select metal prices fall on poor industrial demand
Mumbai, Jun 25 (UNI) Select metal prices fell on poor industrial demand today, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange said.
In the ferrous section, copper heavy, copper utensils and brass cuttings declined by Rs 200, Rs 300 and Rs 100 per quintal respectively on sustained heavy selling pressure.
In the non-ferrous category, copper wire bars and zinc slab eased by Rs 200 and Rs 100 per quintal respectively on increase offers by stockists.
Tin slab and nickel cathode came down by Rs three and Rs ten per kg on poor demand.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 34,600, Copper utensils - Rs 30,600, Brass utensils - Rs 25,300, Brass cuttings - Rs 26,900 and Aluminium utensils - Rs 11,300.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 38,000, Aluminium ingots - Rs 13,500, Zinc slabs - Rs 18,900, Lead ingots - Rs 10,200, Tin slab - Rs 705 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 1,765 (per kg).
