Ahmedabad, June 25 (UNI) The designated Prevention of Terrorist Act (POTA) court today issued notices to five witnesses in the murder case of former Minister of State for Home Haren Pandya for turning hostile during the court proceedings.

Taking serious note of the witnesses turning hostile during the proceedings, POTA Judge Sonia G Gokani issued the notices against them.

In her order, Ms Gokhani stated that Javedkhan Pathan, Farid Khan Pathan, Mustaq Ansari, Salmaan and Hussain Miyan, who had given their statements under the CrPc 164 before a judicial Magistrate, later strangely turned hostile during the proceedings in the POTA court.

The notice is returnable by July 7.
