MSEB office ransacked over three-day power cut

Thane, June 25 (UNI) A mob of irate residents from Mumbra near here today ransacked the local office of the MSEB to protest the power failure in the locality since the past three days.

The locals first took out a morcha to the MSEB office to air their complaint. But when the officials were unable to respond favourably to them, the mob turned violent and ransacked the office.The mob also made an unsucessful attempt to set the office on fire it was learnt.

The local police resorted to mild lathi charge to disperse the mob.
