Media to boycott Arunachal Pradesh Governor

Itanagar, June 25 (UNI) The Itanagar Press Club and Arunachal Pradesh Union of Working Journalists today decided to boycott all programmes to be attended by Governor S K Singh for his alleged ''derogatory'' remarks on mediapersons.

The Governor at a function here last evening expressed his concern over the integrity of the mediapersons and said money played a role in dissemination of reports.

The IPC and APUWJ, in a meeting, resolved that such remark was unbecoming on the part of the Governor.

The journalists demanded that the Governor prove with documentary evidences as to ''who are the black sheep in the Press'' or else tender an unconditional apology, failing which the press would boycott the functions to be attended by him.
