Marg registers Rs 141.85 cr income in 2006-07

Chennai, June 25 (UNI) Marg Constructions Ltd, a diversified infrastructure development company, has registered an income of Rs 141.85 crore in the year ended March 31, 2007, an increase of 135 per cent over the previous fiscal's Rs 60.26 crore.

The PAT also increased 265 per cent from the previous fiscal's Rs 8.18 crore to Rs 29.91 crore, a company release here said today.

Company's forthcoming projects included development of a port in Karaikal, a mall and service apartments in the IT corridor in Chennai and SEZs in Tamil Nadu, it added.

As a socially responsible organisation, Marg Constructions had partnered with CII to launch the Grassroot Level Skill Development Initiative.

This programme would provide pre-employment skills and technical training to 5,000 unskilled workforce in Tamil Nadu by the end of 2008, the release added.
