Maoists training camp destroyed in Bihar
Patna, Jun 25: In a major break-through police has busted and razed to ground the training camp and bunkers of the banned Maoists in Rohtas district last night.
Inspector General (Operations) S.K.Bhardwaj today said following a tip off the state police had conducted a joint operation with the central security forces and busted the training camps, being run on the hills, of Badkabudhwa near Soli village of the district.
He said two hardcore extremists, Arjun Uraon and Mani Devi, provided some informations during their interrogation following which the police cordoned off the entire area and razed the camp to the ground.
''It was a full fledged training camp of the extremists and they used it as their hideouts,'' Mr Bharadwaj said.
Police recovered five kg of explosives used in land mines and detonators, several literature on naxalism, 12 cane bombs and some incriminating doccuments from the spot.
However, not a single maoist was present in the camp during the raids.
