Knowledge Commission for restructuring knowledge infrastructure
Hyderabad, June 25 (UNI) National Knowledge Commission Advisor Raghunathan today said the National Knowledge Commission was constituted to help restructure institutions and knowledge infrastructure to meet the challenges ahead.
Addressing the workshop on 'National Knowledge Commission' here, he asked the Andhra Pradesh government to constitute a committee to establish knowledge network with all the educational, research institutions and universities.
He emphasised on the need to promote the study of English language as it had become one of the globally accepted languages.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary J Harinarayana, speaking on the occasion, said the vocational education had to be popularised to create employment in non-professional areas.
He said plans were on to provide training to students after tenth standard in various growth sectors in the industry.
